Do you travel?

I only travel for day-of wedding services.  My travel rates are included in all bridal packages!

Where are you located?

I am located in Riverdale, NY, on the border of Van Cortlandt Park.

Do you offer hair services?

No I do not.

How long is the appointment?

Your appointment will last approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes for a special events look and 1.5 hours for brides.

Can I bring my makeup to the appointment?

No, I take my COVID-19 protocol seriously and any possibly contaminated products will not me enmeshed with my own sanitized kit.

Do you offer airbrush services?

No, I do not offer airbrushing services.

Can I bring someone with me to my appointment at your studio?

No, since my studio is located in my home additional persons are not be allowed inside.

When is payment for my service due?

For bridal parties a non-refundable retainer of 50% is due to confirm your booking.  The remaining balance is due no less than 30 days before the service If payment is not received within this timeframe your appointment is subject to cancellation.

For non bridal clients, a  retainer of 50% is due to confirm your booking.  The remaining balance is due the day of your service, before the service begins. If payment is not received within this timeframe your appointment is subject to cancellation.

Do you accommodate additional last minute clients?

No. Only the people listed on the bridal contract will receive makeup services.

I have an emergency, how do I reschedule my appointment?

If possible, you must inform me within 24 hours of your appointment of your intention to reschedule. 

What happens if I am late?

In order to give my clients the best service it is important that I maintain my schedule. Please inform me if you will be late to your appointment.

My late fee is $1 per minute after 5 minutes. So if you are 45 minutes late your late fee is $45. Your appointment must be rescheduled if you are 1 hour or more late to your appointment or if your lateness will cause disruption for my other bookings on the same day. All late fees are paid before the service begins.

Is the retainer refundable?

No, the retainer is nonrefundable and non transferrable.

What is your protocol for COVID-19 safety?

Additional time included between appointments to sanitize service areas and to minimize guest contact.  Increased distance between clients to adhere to safe social distancing guidelines.  Each guest is required to wash or sanitize hands upon arrival. Your service provider will thoroughly wash and sanitize hands as often as possible.  Everyone in the space except clients must be masked.  All members of the team must wear a mask or face shield that covers the nose and mouth completely. All surfaces will be wiped thoroughly with hospital grade disinfectant before and after each client. There will be antibacterial wipes, hand sanitizer, cosmetic sanitizer, and 70% alcohol available.

What if I have an open wound on my face?

If you have any sores, cuts, rashes, or any other skin condition that may contaminate or compromise my makeup kit in any way you must let me know prior to your appointment.

If I notice a serious skin condition and you did not inform me I am entitled to refuse service.

Photography Release

By booking with Brides by Christine, the client hereby authorizes the Artist, any of the Artist’s assistants and Christine Hernandez to take and publish photographs and videos taken of every client while the artist is providing Services or after the service is completed for use in the Artist’s print and online marketing and advertising materials. Artist holds the Intellectual Property rights to all photos taken by Artist. By booking with Brides by Christine, you hereby release and hold the Artist from any reasonable expectation of privacy and/or confidentiality associated with the photographs and videos specified above. By booking with Brides by Christine, you further acknowledge that your participation is voluntary and you will not receive any financial compensation of any type for the photographs or videos. If the client does not authorize photos or videos being taken they must inform Christine and specify it in writing prior to receiving service.
